About

I’m a graduate of Boston University’s School of Education. I hold a Masters of Education in Educational Media and Technology as well as a graduate certificate in Instructional Technology

I’m currently pursuing the User Experience Certificate at Bentley University. My undergraduate studies in Business Management were completed at Merrimack College.

My expertise is concentrated within the niche area of accessibility, primarily web accessibility. I have worked with many clients in various industries. With in-depth knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 standards and guidelines, I evaluate client web sites and web based software applications for accessibility problems.

It is my hope to increase the client’s awareness and ability to solve accessibility issues that may arise during web content design and development. My evaluation process involves a systematic approach, using industry standard text speech software, usability testing, and heuristics. The feedback I provide to web developers relates to how the interface is likely to be compatible with the intended users’ needs and preferences. The majority of my work is done with the visually impaired in mind. It is my responsibility to provide clients with web accessibility reports that expose possible problem areas for non-sighted users and provide solutions on how to correct areas of concern.

In world with ever changing technology, it is my mission to be part of the push towards universal and accessible design for all.
